The naming and handover ceremony for the newly acquired Island-class patrol boats by the Hellenic Navy took place at the Salamis Naval Shipyards. In accordance with Decision No. 69 from the 24th session of the Supreme Naval Council on July 3, 2023, the names of the four Island-class coastal patrol boats were announced as follows:
- P197 – Sub-Lieutenant (2nd Class) Ioannis Mantouvalos
- P198 – Sub-Lieutenant (1st Class) Georgios Galanis
- P288 – Sub-Lieutenant (2nd Class) Antonios Liaskos
- P289 – Chief Petty Officer Hector Gialopsos
