Antipollution, member of V Group of Companies was honored with the most significant distinction in its history at the awards ceremony of the Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry (EBEA) on January 8, 2024.
The event took place at the “Stavros Niarchos” Hall of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, with representatives from the business and political world in attendance.
V Group’s Chairman, Vyron Vasileiadis, accepted the “Environmental and Green Development” award from Vasiliki Lazarakou, the President of the Capital Market Commission.
In her opening statement, EBEA’s President, Sofia Kounenaki Efthymioglou, emphasized the significance of the awards, stating, “2024 marks the 105th year of EBEA’s operation – 105 years in the service of entrepreneurship and development. We chose to commence this milestone year with a prestigious institution for our Federation. An institution that honors and highlights entrepreneurial excellence. It rewards business achievements and the values behind them: courage, creativity, responsibility towards the environment and society, the ability to look ahead, seize opportunities – and create them.”
Vyron Vasileiadis, Chairman of V Group of Companies expressed that 2023 was a milestone year for Antipollution and V Group as they secured an exclusivity agreement with Suez Canal and established Antipollution Egypt. He attributed the company’s recognition to the collective effort and dedication of its people, pledging to continue working hard to protect the environment and promote green development.
The EBEA awards recognize businesses distinguished in areas such as internationalization, innovation, green development, corporate responsibility, electronic entrepreneurship, as well as those supporting employment, dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises, young entrepreneurs, and promising startups. Additionally, awards are given to women breaking new ground in entrepreneurship and businesses embracing diversity and adopting inclusion policies.
